The article presents information about a German language storytelling conference held on September 1-4, 2008 in Bursfelde, Germany. Subjects under discussion included the influence of popular stories on the creation and production of fairy tales, newspaper reports, and biographies. Presenters included European storytelling scientists Thomas Geider, Gundula Hubrich-Messow, and Sabine Wienker-Piepho.
