Abstract: The article presents several medical studies in Great Britain. An increase in gastric symptoms and acid rebound were found after proton pump inhibitor was withdrawn. Another study revealed that inhaled steroids have no impact on bone density even if osteoporosis is prevalent in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. A five-year study found that the early blocking of the renin-angiotensin system in type 1 diabetes patients slowed down the progression of retinopathy.
