Abstract: Information on several topics discussed at the general assemblies of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners (UEVP) and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) held in Stockholm, Sweden in May 2009 is presented. Topics include antimicrobial resistance, pet insurance, and equine veterinary medicines. The general assemblies featured several veterinary professionals including Henk Vaarkamp, Christina Greko, and Tjeerd Jorna.
