Abstract

The article focuses on a survey from Manpower Inc. which finds that job prospects are good for engineers despite the recession in Great Britain. The survey, which included 2,240 employers, examined the extent to which skills shortages are affecting the labour market. It found that engineering vacancies are the most difficult to fill in 2009. Mark Cahill of Manpower said that employers remain to struggle in recruiting people with the qualified skills.
