Abstract

Discusses the quantification of the ratio of hopanoids/total lipids as well as the identification of hopanoid structures in Frankia cells. Variations in the ratio of the total lipids in most the strains between nitrogen-depleted and nitrogen-replete culture conditions; Data suggesting that remobilization has a role in vesicle formation in Frankia.
