Muslims Praise Tone, but Await Action.

This article reports that Muslims in the Middle East praised U.S. President Barack Obama for the tone of his speech which he made on June 4, 2009 in Cairo, Egypt. It notes that the reaction of the Muslims to the substance of Obama's speech was mixed. Ahmed Farouk, a 25-year-old Muslim man from Cairo said that Obama seems to be committed and serious man. Sadiki Hamisi Halfani of Kenya said that he was struck by Obama's reference to Jerusalem as a town of the children of Abraham, whom Jews, Christians and Muslims consider as prophets.
