Abstract
- The article focuses on using information about consumers' online social networks, like those through Web site Facebook.com, to market products that a consumer has shown interest in to other members of that consumer's social network. Research by AT&T Labs Research indicates that friends tend to shop alike, and online social networks make it easy for marketers to target consumers' friends. Companies like iCrossing, Lotame, and 33across plan to mine social networking data for social targeting.
