Abstract
- The article presents a study on the characteristics of Mountain Hawk-Eagle, whose population reaches Japan, China and Taiwan. It is found that most of these species give time in their breeding season in a way that the greatest food demand period will correspond with the peak in the availability of food. Meanwhile, it is noted that the Mountain Hawk-Eagle's primary prey is the giant flying squirrel in which pregnancy takes place in the period ranging from December to February. Further, it is also observed that reptiles or birds that breed during the spring or summer are commonly fed by most of the forest raptors.
