Abstract
- We report on a shell-model study of nuclei with two valence nucleons in the 132Sn and 208Pb regions, focusing attention on the similarity between the spectroscopy of these two regions. In our study we make use of realistic effective interactions derived from the CD-Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential renormalized by use of the Vlow-k approach. We show that the behavior of the proton-proton, neutron-neutron and proton-neutron multiplets in 134Te, 134Sn and 134Sb, respectively, is quite similar to that of the analogous multiplets in the counterpart nuclei in the 208Pb region, 210Po, 210Pb and 210Bi.
