Abstract
- The article reports on the outcome of the extended prefeasibility study outlining the Tampakan copper-gold project in Mindanao, Philippines that costs $5.2 billion. The mine, which is operated by Sagittarius Mines, is expected to produce 340,000 metric tons/year of copper and 350,000 ounce/year of gold over 20 years of operation and is the largest undeveloped deposit in Southeast Asia. The study includes a possible schedule for development, commissioning and first production in early 2016.
