Abstract

Determines the combined effects of chronic ozone and elevated carbon dioxide on ribulose 1,5 bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase (Rubisco) activity and leaf components in soybean, Glycine max. Interaction between ozone and carbon dioxide; Acceleration of leaf senescence in ozone-fumigated leaves; Deactivation of Rubisco by elevated carbon dioxide levels; Interaction between carbon dioxide and ozone in response to starch and sucrose metabolism.
