Abstract
- The article highlights recent developments in graphics and display industries that contributed to 10-bit imaging technology's rise in popularity. It relates the advantages of 10-bit technology to the medical imaging community. It explores the growing popularity of 30-bit color in the film industry and the rapid momentum of liquid crystal displays in the professional markets. The appeal of the recent improvements in 10-bit quality is discussed.
