Abstract
- The article offers information on the World Sight Day Challenge annual fundraising campaign to be held on October 8, 2009. Optical professionals are encouraged to participate in the campaign that aims to help raise money and awareness for projects that improve vision care for women. The campaign is organized by the Optometry Giving Sight. According to the report "VISION 2020: The Right to Sight," two-thirds of the blind population are women and girls.
