Abstract

The article deals with a study on the impact of government policy on the state of poverty and inequality in Great Britain since 1997. Aside from considering public attitudes to poverty and inequality, the study also looked into the challenges brought by recessions and aging society. According to the researchers, the situation in Great Britain has improved since the introduction of policy in 1997. The study shows that the government has succeeded in reducing child poverty and in minimizing the economic gaps between deprived and other areas.
