Abstract
- The article offers the author's perspective on the commentary made by Mark Holmes to the article "Imagined Evidence and False Imperatives." He cites the smashing success brought by the comments and comments that those conclusions by Holmes would also mean a safer to assume a high level of misunderstanding among scholars of different fields. The author clarifies the issue on the limited exploration of school choice and some market-oriented schooling policies by stressing that the consensus definition of equity when it comes to the opportunity of schooling is expected to restrict policies' design that is too much dependent on market accountability.
