Abstract
- The article focuses on the status of Great Britain's Labour Party, which is losing popularity under the administration of Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The expenses scandal, in which members of parliament were revealed to have made extravagant claims for personal items at taxpayer expense, is discussed as a trigger to Labour's crisis. As a result, Labour lost heavily in municipal and European elections, adding doubts about the party's survival in parliamentary elections within the year.
