Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 49-year-old multiparous premenopausal woman who was diagnosed with menorrhagia and ovarian cyst. In December 1997, the patient showed menopausal signs, and began a trial of continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that was stopped due to migraine. She has experienced vaginal bleeding, demonstrating complex hyperplasia with atypia. It discusses the synthetic steroid pro-hormone called tibolone and endometrial hyperplasia.
