Abstract
- The article considers the application of autostereoscopic three-dimensional (3D) for digital signage. Autostereoscopic 3D allows viewers to experience 3D without the need to wear glasses or headgear. Applying this into public display could translate into digital-signages that can reach out and grab the attention of the consumer. Despite its potential in this setting, it is noted that there are still several issues to consider when adopting the technology such as resolution loss, capital expenditure and finding a continuing source of fresh content.
