Abstract
- The article reports on the net loss of $33.8 million posted by casino operator Wynn Resorts Ltd. in the first quarter of 2009 as consumer from China to Las Vegas, Nevada continued to control spending. Revenue declined to $740 million, which was primarily attributed to decline at Wynn Macau. On May 5, 2009, shares of the company rose, along with other casino stocks on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Also noted is the first-quarter loss posted by Las Vegas Sands Corp.
