Abstract
- The article reports on the decline in the cost of protection on highly rated North American corporate bonds on May 6, 2009. The Markit CDX IG12 fell from 1.57 percentage points on May 5 to 1.44 the next day. The total amount of bonds issued in the U.S. investment-grade corporate-bond market was $5 billion. Among the issuers in the said sector are General Electric Capital Corp. and Rabobank Nederland.
