Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the implications of preterm birth syndrome to shed light on its diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. It discusses the common pathway of preterm birth as well as the signs and symptoms of the pathway's activation in preterm birth which include uterine contractions and posterior fornix. It also lays the aetiologies of the syndrome including uterine ischaemia, endocrine disorders, and allergic-like reaction.
