Abstract

The article presents a case study which examines two rare cases of children with diffuse lymphoid polyposis of the colon and ileum who died due to intestinal ischemia complications brought by the occurrence of intestinal loop torsion. The first case involves a 10-year-old Caucasian boy with a history of abdominal pain for 2 days and vomiting with 38.5°Celsius fever. The second case involves a 4-year-old black boy with a history of abdominal pain and diarrhea for 5 days.
