Abstract

While collaborative student projects can be effective in improving student learning, the failure of students to work together effectively remains a widely reported problem in collaborative learning. This article describes a team-building intervention designed to improve the students' abilities to work together in teams successfully. The intervention consisted of an initial team-building workshop with subsequent evaluation and feedback. The results include positive student perceptions of team performance and the overall value of collaborative learning. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
