Abstract: The article discusses results of May, 2009 parliamentary elections held in India. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Indian National Congress party was the top vote-getter, and indicated it would form a new coalition government. India's minister of commerce and industry, Kamal Nath, observed that the results should encourage foreign investment.
