Abstract
- The article discusses the reunification of Germany. In November 1989 the Berlin wall was taken down and the former German Democratic Republic in eastern Germany has been given some $2 trillion to reunite Germany. As of 2009 the global economic crises stands to constrict Germany's economy by some 6% which will be worse than in the U.S. and Great Britain. The money spent in Germany has brought new highways and railroads, modern water treatment plants, and renovated buildings. INSET: Germany's Scorecard.
