Abstract
- The article describes the case of an 84-year-old man who had adenovirus-induced acute liver failure. It is noted that he was diagnosed with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma associated with a biclonal gammopathy 13 years prior. After several observations, the patient's immunohistochemistry revealed numerous hepatocytes staining positive for adenovirus. Cidofovir, a nucleoside analog, is regarded as the best in vitro activity against adenovirus.
