Abstract
- The article focuses on a study on the length of lactation on breast-feeding women and its associated postmenopausal risk factors. Multi-variable models were used as control for sociodemographic variables on examining the effect of the duration of lactation. Such risk factors include obesity, hypertension and diabetes. Dose-response relationships were found out in women with more than 12 months of lactation, suggesting a less case of hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
