Abstract
- The article examines the marketing by automobile manufacturers General Motors and Chrysler, who are facing U.S. government deadlines to present business plans to avoid bankruptcy. The two companies are continuing their advertising spending, but may be forced to pay in advance for television advertising ordered during the broadcast and cable television "upfront" advertising sales presentation in May, 2008.
