Evidence-Based Treatment for Children in Child Welfare.

The article discusses research on trauma-focused interventions for children and adolescents to provide guidance on effective strategies for addressing emotional and behavioral problems associated with trauma. Children with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or symptoms related to trauma often exhibit other mental health disorders. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) addresses behavioral and emotional symptoms as well as negative thought patterns associated with childhood trauma.
