This article presents information on the Organic Concept Orchard, a project that integrates farming, technology, marketing and supermarkets to produce quality fruit crop of English apples. It explains that the idea about this project started with Sainsbury's Concept Orchard in collaboration with OrchardWorld Ltd. and HE Hall & Son with the objective of designing a high-yielding system that matched establishment to organic conversion period and fast-track certifid organic apples onto supermarket shelfs.
