Abstract
- The article focuses on the studies regarding the hydrogeology of carbonate aquifers. It highlights the approaches that have been used in the study in which one focuses on data from wells using Darcy's law and the other focuses on data from springs and caves using the Darcy-Weisbach equation for the interpretation of flow through the major conduits in the aquifer. It views the connection between landforms and ground water in karst regions. It indicates the work of J. Cvijić that has presented modern ideas in karst geomorphology as well as the karst ground water system with three hydrographic zones.
