Abstract

The article aims to study the range of movements of Norway rats in two poultry farms Exaltación de la Cruz in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It highlights the radio-telemetry conducted to three female and three male rats. It states that the maximum daily movement of these rats was 65 meters. According to the article, individuals captured near sheds or pigpens did shorter displacements compared to those captured on the perimeter of each farm. Furthermore, it suggests that Norway rats moved only short distances on poultry farms.
