Abstract: This article reports on the arrest by Ukranian security agents of a regional lawmaker and two companions on suspicion of trying to sell a radioactive substance that could be used to make a dirty bomb. The men attempted to sell 8.2 pounds of radioactive material to an undercover security agent. In selling the radioactive substance the men claimed it to be plutonium-239 and demanded $10 million.
