Abstract

The authors discuss the cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). The authors assert that CRT is considered as class I indication in heart failure patients. They reveal that various studies have related the success of CRT to left ventricular (LV) lead position and site of latest mechanical activation. They cite that various results of the studies raise the question whether positioning of the LV pacing lead in CRT should be guided by echocardiography.
