Abstract

The article features jewelry artist Gail Crosman Moore. As a child, Crosman Moore was exposed to the work of her grandfather, illustrator John H. Crosman. When she stopped schooling, she turned to making handmade books and photo albums to sell. In 1994, she saw some handmade glass beads on an ankle bracelet worn by a friend, who had made them in a class given by Kristina Logan. She then signed up for one of Logan's three-day workshops at Horizons and began selling beads right away. She eventually hurled herself into the process of working with felt.
