Establishing Rapport and Quality of Health Care Delivery.

The article discusses the importance for international nurses to establish rapport in providing care and treatment to patients in the U.S. It stresses the need to build positive relationship with clients to develop trust, credibility, and competence among nurses. International nurses are encouraged to learn the country's customs, norms and regional cultural differences, as well as to use a variety of resources and strategies to learn how to establish rapport with clients and patients and to eliminate their unfavorable perception of quality of care. The tips in building relationships with patients are presented.
