Abstract
- This article attempts to guide students to do honest work and avoid plagiarism. As stated, gifted students are perceived as capable, motivated learners who think independently and have little reason to plagiarize. Avoiding assignments that lack critical thinking and inquiry learning is reportedly one of the most important ways to address academic dishonesty. It is urged that parents and teachers need to reframe plagiarism prevention not as character education focused on developing personality traits but as ethics education.
