Abstract

The article offers information on the city of South Yorkshire in England. South Yorkshire is divided into two parts. The west, which is known for steep hills, rivers and ancient woodlands, and the east, which has land that flattens into arable fields dotted with Anglo Saxon towns and villages. A historical perspective on the city is offered, along with description of the tourist sites located within it. Such sites include the Wentworth Castle, Roche Abbey and the Conisbrough Castle.
