Abstract

This essay explores how Vancouver, British Columbia and other urban landscapes are represented in contemporary Asian Canadian literature. The author discusses how urban literature is being redefined by Asian Canadian authors such as Nancy Lee, Kevin Chong Larissa Lai and Madeleine Thien. The author examines how their work has captured how Asian Canadians have moved beyond traditional representations.
