Abstract
- The article discusses light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and the impact they are having on energy-efficient lighting. LEDs can help reduce greenhouse gases and energy consumption in white-light sources due to their energy-efficiency. The developments in LEDs have been made possible due to research into semiconductor materials, and the article discusses these developments in detail.
