Abstract: The article discusses factors that could contribute to temporary improvement in data on personal income and spending due from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis on March 27, 2009. Social security cost-of-living adjustments and income-tax refunds could boost income and consumption for the month. Improved consumer confidence may help as well.
