This study is about the accounts of acceptance of Islam by Umar, who is one of well-known companions of Prophet Muhammad. When Muslims were painful, troubled and tortured Umar had become Muslim. Although there are tree accounts about this matter, an account matching not only with his brave and heroic character but also with historical surroundings also has been adopted. There aren't these kinds of accounts about other important persons who are from the companions of Prophet Muhammad too.
