Phase structures and electrical properties of new lead-free Na0.5K0.5NbO3–LiSbO3–BiFeO3 ceramics

Abstract

(1− x)(0.95Na0.5K0.5NbO3–0.05LiSbO3)–xBiFeO3 solid-solution piezoelectric ceramics have been fabricated by conventional ceramic processing. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) between orthorhombic and tetragonal ferroelectric phases was identified around x =0.004. The ceramics near the MPB exhibit good electrical properties (d 33 =260pC/N−1, kp =51.5%, Tc =365°C, ρ =4.51gcm−3 and tan θ =2.00%). The results indicate that this ceramic is a promising lead-free piezoelectric material. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
