Abstract
- The article discusses a report that found that students who participated in a U.S. federally funded mentoring program were no more likely to succeed than students who did not receive mentoring. The article describes how the program was funded through the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) to improve student achievement rates, decrease student truancy or misconduct, and produce more positive social behaviors.
