Abstract
- The article presents a study on the position of the governments of European Union (EU) member states that are controlled by the Left on immigration restriction in Western Europe. The researchers claims that governments of the Left are inclined to restrict immigration compared to the governments of the Right. Noted is the effect of European welfare states on the electoral implications of immigration for the governments of the left.
