Abstract
- The article discusses the impact of recent immigrants on American ethno-racial politics. The author says that immigrants have been used successfully to score rhetorical political points helping to de-legitimize policies aimed at increasing ethno-racial equality in the U.S, but argues that it is wrong to explain the relative weakness of a racially egalitarian public policy agenda by seeing increased immigration as a primary causal factor.
