Abstract
- The article reports on the replacement of the Millstone River Bridge near Princeton, New Jersey, which is part of the U.S. Rte. 1. Various environmental factors were considered during the pre-planning of the bridge replacement, such as freshwater stream restrictions and a nesting bald eagle. The goal of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) was to replace the deteriorated bridge and replace it with a wider one.
