Did AT&T Die in Vain? An Empirical Comparison of AT&T and Bell Canada.

The article presents an empirical comparison of the telecommunication companies, U.S.-based AT&T Inc. and Canada-based Bell Canada. It explores whether the divestiture of AT&T Inc. in 1984 has obtained its purpose of lower prices and more rapid development in American telecommunications. It is said that Canada and the U.S. have a similar telecommunications structure. Also in this paper, the market structure, prices and market capitalization of both telecommunication companies are compared and contrast.
