Abstract: This article discusses ways for dentists to practice green dentistry. The emergence of green practices is in response to the global warming and other environmental problems. Green building refers to the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources while reducing building impacts on the environment. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEEDS, is the rating system green buildings. Dentists can practice green dentistry by turning off electric appliances and lighting when not in use.
