Abstract
- The article examines economic indicators on inflation released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The bureau's producer-price index for January, 2009 showed a surprisingly large increase. Economists state that the bureau does not seasonally adjust its price indexes for January, and predict low rates of inflation in 2009.
